Accessibility statement

Last updated:

We want everyone to be able to use this website. It is designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA in full, and the stricter level AAA wherever that level applies to this site. Below we list what we did and the places where the site does not yet reach AAA.

Standards

The site is designed to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA, which is also the level required by Israeli Standard 5568 and the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Accessibility Adjustments for Service) Regulations, 2013. Where a level AAA criterion applies to this site, we meet it too, except for the limits listed below.

What we did

  • Text contrast of at least 7 to 1 in both the light and the dark colours.
  • Every page works with a keyboard alone, with a clearly visible focus outline that the top bar never covers.
  • Buttons and links in menus and lists are at least 44 by 44 pixels.
  • A "Skip to content" link, a clear heading structure on every page, and a "You are here" trail on inner pages.
  • Link text says where the link goes, even when read on its own.
  • Choice of light or dark colours and of reduced motion at the bottom of every page, in addition to your device settings.
  • Lines no wider than about 70 characters, generous line and paragraph spacing, and text that can be enlarged to 200% without scrolling sideways.
  • Full right-to-left layout in Hebrew, and the page language marked for screen readers.
  • Text alternatives for every image; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • No time limits, no flashing content, and no sound.
  • Plain-language summaries at the top of long policies.

Known limits

  • Policies and terms are legal texts. Their plain-language summaries are written for a lower-secondary reading level, but the full text is harder to read (WCAG 3.1.5, level AAA).
  • Product names are in English on the Hebrew pages, as they appear in the app stores. Hebrew text is written without vowel marks (WCAG 3.1.6, level AAA).
  • The Mahjong Zen banner contains the game’s logo as an image. Its text is also given in the alternative text and on the page.
  • The small Arrow Escape puzzle on the home page moves arrows when you clear them. Choose reduced motion at the bottom of the page to turn this off.
  • Images and documents from the app stores and other sites we link to are not under our control.

How we check

Every page is checked automatically with the axe accessibility engine, in English and Hebrew and in light and dark colours, and keyboard use is tested on every page. If you use a screen reader and something does not work as expected, please tell us.

Report a problem or ask for help
